I have 2 daughters. I refer to them as HMJrSr and HMJrJr the wife is Mrs HM.
I posted recently that my now 20 year old was 16 when she went to work with dad and saw dead people. Six dead people to be exact. When people found out and asked how it was she doesn't mention all the death she saw, the times all my interventions were useless to help...no, she tells this story.
Told by a 16 year old girl:
So I'm at work with my dad, he's like the Paramedic leader guy and gets to drive all around doing stuff. We walk into the firehouse at 630 in the morning and all of the sudden he's grabbing me and jumping in his SUV and we're going on a call. It was pretty cool and we get to a crowd of people standing around a guy on the ground. My dad and all the other firemen go over and see what's wrong and I'm told to stand back a bit so I'm kind of one of the crowd.
It's still dark and a dude just wanders up to me wearing a long coat and asks "Hey what happened?"
"I think someone fell down" I said and didn't want to really engage but guy just shrugs, reaches into his jacket pocket and casually pulls out a chicken drumstick and starts eating! Dude has pocket chicken!
My dad soon figured out the guy on the ground had been dead for awhile and some of the firemen were leaving when guy tosses the bone into the gutter and I'm not sure what to do.
"So why are you here?" And he's got ANOTHER DRUMSTICK IN THE OTHER POCKET!
